Jacky Boehm (b. 1995) is a Portland-born, Brooklyn-based abstract representational painter. Her work explores transformation, the relationship between organic and constructed forms, and states of flux. Bringing together atmospheric color fields, ornamental structures, and figurative elements, her layered compositions move between abstraction and figuration. Her paintings are contemplations on transmutation with particular attention to the moment a form is still evolving.

Her latest body of work draws on the idea of petrification as it appears in mythology, where the human body is transformed into stone. This current focus examines the conjoining of objects with the human form.
